Reporting to the Process Manager to promote and support continuous improvement mindset growth and methods application, using lean methodologies. Working together with the Business Unit Leader and Maintenance Lead as a focused team, to support the production line and ensure that processes are well documented to drive improvement and sustainability.

Responsibilities:

  • Executes process improvement projects
  • Assistance in identifying opportunities for improvement and articulate a plan to achieve it
  • You will be part of the line team that manages improvements to equipment, process parameters, and centerlines on daily/weekly/yearly basis
  • Working closely with the maintenance lead and business unit leader to maintain and improve line efficiencies as well as meet all line objectives
  • Manages the change brought about the new methods
  • Organizes and participates in prevention activities and raises workers’ awareness of value-added production concepts
  • Analyze the various causes of waste and suggest improvements
  • Plan and organize the various improvement programs (H&S, TPM, 6S, Six Sigma, Ishikawa diagram, etc.)
  • Participation in T1, T2 meetings
  • Documents processes and writes work instructions and specifications
  • Defines standard processes and tools to manage centerlines and accelerate RCO (Rapid Change Over)
  • Helps to define daily plans, takes the lead on priority actions pertaining to processes, and systems, from action identification to completion
  • Supports the team in the implementation and continuous improvement of their respective Daily Management System (DMS) elements
  • Shares best practices with the other Process Leads
  • Support the Production Manager in fulfilling the mandates of the production operations to meet overall business objectives
  • Recommend and expedite system solutions, troubleshooting and modifications to existing equipment to improve and optimize line operations
  • Take initiative to focus on continuous improvement for personal development regarding updates on industry standards
  • Promote and be responsible for applying sound occupational health and safety management and ensure compliance with Leclerc safety standards
  • Provide resources and technological expertise within the plant
  • Any other duties requested by your supervisor

 

Qualifications:

  • Completed education in Operations Management or Engineering field OR Bachelor’s degree or technologist diploma plus relevant experience
  • Demonstrated experience with the different “Lean” approaches/tools; Lean certification, considered an asset
  • Have implemented or participated in the implementation of change management.
  • Have a good understanding of recognized process management, continuous improvement methods and problem-solving tools
  • Strong people management skills are a must
  • Must be capable at mentoring and coaching employees for success.
  • Strong communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Results-oriented and the ability to motivate a team to perform at high levels
  • Experience in troubleshooting and process improvement
  • Ability to make good decisions with an innovative approach
  • Ability to train and transfer knowledge effectively
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience with SAP considered an asset
