Job summary

Reporting to the Director - Planning, the main responsibility of the incumbent will be to plan the production of the plants under his/her responsibility in such a way as to optimize our operational efficiency while respecting the constraints imposed in terms of start-ups, clean-ups, availability of inputs, equipment and manpower.

Responsibilities

  • Plan all manufacturing activities to achieve production targets;
  • Analyze and manage production priorities;
  • Develop and implement programs to ensure efficient use of raw materials, labor and equipment;
  • Ensure adherence to production schedules and make adjustments as necessary;
  • Work in collaboration with sales, production, purchasing, quality, engineering and maintenance departments. 
  • Actively participate in organizational efficiency improvement projects.
     
Skills and abilities required
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration with a concentration in operations management or other related training;
  • Three (3) years of relevant experience in production planning;
  • Fluency in spoken and written French and English; this position requires communication with unilingual English-speaking customers and/or suppliers and/or collaboration with our plants in the U.S. and Ontario on a regular basis.
  • Strong leadership and team spirit;
  • Good communication skills, especially in a context where decision-making is fast-paced and must reflect the concerted efforts of the various stakeholders;
  • Excellent organizational skills and a good sense of priorities.
  • Knowledge of SAP is an asset.
